Berkey Water Filters
One of the frequently used water filter systems gaining public attention Berkey.
This filtration system is based on the amount of water consumed on an average by consumers in order to produce the correct amounts of purified water for the family. The average person will consume half a gallon of water a day with the servings to be an 8-ounce glass.
The berkey water filters system has several sized water reserves to meet the needs of every individual with their unique consumption of water.
Since the water is great tasting and clean people tend to use the water for cooking as well as making coffee tea kool-aid and all other forms of water based beverages. This additional usage of the water increases the daily consumption to the average of one gallon per day per person.
The different sized berkey water filters reservoirs are the Travel Berkey with a capacity of 1.5 gallons.
The Big Berkey with a capacity of 2.1 gallons.
The Berkey Light has a capacity of 2.4 gallons. The Royal Berkey holds 3.0 gallons.
The Imperial Berkey holds 4.5 gallons and the Crown Berkey has a capacity of 6.0 gallons. The models will easily fit into any familys need for pure water.
The flow rate of the various systems is based on the number of berkey water filters used to create the clean water. The taller the system is means it has more pressure to produce the water.
The flow rates for the different models are Travel has a flow rate of 2.75 gallons with the maximum number of filters that equals 2.75 gallons.
The Light model has 3.75 gallons for flow rate with maximum number of filters equaling 4.25 gallons.
The Royal has 4.0-gallon flow rate with maximum filters producing 8.0 gallons. The Crowns flow rate is 6.5 gallons with maximum number of filters producing 26 gallons.
The size of the system is designed to meet the needs of the family size. The average family is between four to nine people making the two top selling Berkey models Travel and Light filling the family requirements for the purified drinking water.
