Home Water Filter Systems
There are many various home water filter systems available for the home use. Included in the types of systems are various methods used to filter the water. Included are the various methods and the benefits and details of the water filter systems.
Filtration is the process to physically remove the liquids and dissolved materials within the water. Carbon filters are used to purify the water and to remove the contaminants to create a safer drinking water.
Water softeners use sodium chloride or potassium chloride to reduce the hardness of the water from ions often resulted from the various locations of the water supply. The sodiums replace the harmful ions to create a tasty supply of water.
Ultraviolet treatments use the ultraviolet light to purify disinfect the water or reduce the bacteria often present in the water systems. This type of system removes the heterotrophic bacteria leading to illnesses.
Reverse Osmosis is the process that reverses through the application of water pressure the flow of the waters natural process to a concentrated solution to dilute the added solutions via a semipereable membrane.
The process uses the membranes to purify and clean the hazardous materials out of the water creating more pleasant and healthier water for consumption.
Distillers heat the water to the boiling point then collect the vaporized water when it condenses removing the contaminants from the water. Some of the contaminants are natural gases that are removed in the water vaporization process. This process creates drinking water that is purified.
The different home water filter systems have techniques used to attach the systems to the home drinking supply. One such system is called “point-of-entry” installed at the water meters.
“Point-of-Use” systems are attached directly to the faucets where the water is drawn. The systems use carbon or other filtration to purify the water. This is also referred to as “faucet mount” system.
Personal water bottle is a bottle with a filter directly within the container that is used and refilled from the tap water. These home water filter systems can be very useful to any home.
