1) Some water filter companies put in the market filters that do nothing but remove chlorine.
As mentioned above, chlorine is already present in tap waters now so some companies have filters that only remove chlorine because it is hazardous to the health and it has a really bad odor (kind of like the smell of swimming pool water).
However, although the bad odor was remove, buying these carbon-made water filters does not guarantee that you the other contaminants and bacteria are removed.
2) Some water filters also remove the essential minerals and nutrients that you can find in water. Surely, they can remove contaminants and bacteria but they go overboard too much.
Before buying any multi pure water filters, be sure that it is safe and effective.
